The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has requested the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to construct pedestrian bridges and underpasses on major avenues in the capital city.

Talking to CDA on 2nd May, ITP Senior Superintendent of Police asked it to build pedestrian bridges/underpasses on the busy thoroughfares of the city which not only help ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic but also the safety of pedestrians and motorists.

“ITP had identified critical areas from Sohan to Kak Bridge where majority of the public mobility took place and a number of cases of accidents were reported.” - ITP Senior Superintendent of Police

He requested the civic agency to address the issue on an immediate basis in a bid to avoid future accidents and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
